Meet our Women’s Group Coordinators!

Erica Papa

epapa@purdue.edu

Major: Accounting and Management

How I got involved at St. Tom’s: When I came to Purdue, I went to daily Mass, NSO, Boiler Awakening, and Friday Fellowship. I fell in love with the community here and have been around ever since! They’re going to have a hard time getting rid of me at the end of the year!

Favorite Bible Verse: “Learn from the way the wildflowers grow”. Matthew 6:28

Fun Fact: I hate butterflies, but I LOVE Nutella.

Bio: My name is Erica Papa and I am Senior (*cries inside*) from Cumming, Georgia. I absolutely love the community that St. Tom’s has given me during my time here at Purdue. I love listening to people and helping them in any way that I can. I also love to dance, even if I am not the best at it, whenever there is music on even if that means at the grocery store. I am very excited to meet new people and I can’t wait to get to know everyone! I love new friends!

Rachel Naville

rnaville@purdue.edu

Major: Agribusiness and Animal Science

How I got involved at St. Tom’s: The second semester of my Freshman year, I started going to Wednesday night mass and women’s group at St.Tom’s. This lead me to attend Boiler Awakening 8! Ever since then, St.Tom’s has been my home! I’ve been involved with multiple Boiler Awakenings, Ignite, and of course women’s group! I thank God for the community I’ve found at St. Tom’s!

Favorite Bible Verse: “I can do all things through He who strengthens me.” Phil 4:13

Fun Fact: I can lick my nose!

Bio: Hello there! My name is Rachel and I’m a senior in the college of Agriculture! I’m from Floyds Knobs, IN, which is across the Ohio River from Louisville, KY. My family and friends are my life and are so important to me! Therefore, I love making new friends and making connections with people! I also love animals, and own two horses named Magic and Sunny. The most important part of my life though, is God! I try to grow in my faith by being involved (and basically living) at St. Tom’s! I love walking along my faith journey with this beautiful community!

Claire Anderson

ander679@purdue.edu

Major: Aeronautical Engineering Technology

How I got involved at St. Tom’s: To be honest, I’m not really sure. I showed up once and it kinda snowballed from there…

Favorite Bible Verse: “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if one has a grievance against another; as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also do. And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection.” Colossians 3:12-14

Fun Fact: I am a huge Star Wars fan!

Bio: Hi!! I’m Claire and I’m a sophomore in Aviation. I’m from Brownsburg, Indiana, which is right outside of Indianapolis. I love to read, dance, draw, and sing. I also am *attempting* to write fantasy/ action- adventure novels, which is super fun, but I should put more time into… My favorite animals are cats and ducks. My favorite color is turquoise blue. I love cooking and baking because you can make yummy things like pasta and cookies! ???? I sing in the 7 p.m. mass choir and lead an Ignite group in the Honors dorm. I love the community at St. Tom’s and can’t wait to meet you all!

Sarah Myers

Myers247@purdue.edu

Major: Nursing

How I got involved at St. Tom’s: Through Women’s Group! After attending the first meeting, I was hooked by the joy, kindness, and energy of the ladies who attended and lead the group. My family also greatly encouraged me to seek out ways to grow in and practice my faith my freshman year. Their encouragement pushed me to try new groups and opportunities at Saint Tom’s (like Women’s Group!).

Favorite Bible Verse: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

Fun Fact: I play hand bells for Purdue Musical Organization!

Bio: I am from Granger, Indiana, and studying Nursing at Purdue. Thanks to the countless number of beautiful examples growing up, especially that of my parents, I am no longer just a cradle Catholic, but an active and eager one too! During my junior year in high school I fell in love with my faith and my eternal Father. I am proud to be a boilermaker, and every day I am striving to be the woman, student, and Nurse God is calling me to be. I think I am a real life Bilbo Baggins: being cozy at home with a book is my personal cup of tea, but God has cast me on some pretty amazing adventures, and I now look forward to whatever He has planned next! I am striving for Heaven, where I hope one day to be a patron saint of sloth keepers.
