St. Tom’s Retreat
St. Tom’s will hold a Lenten Retreat February 23 and 24th. It is open to all, and will be led by Dr. Carolyn Woo, Purdue Ph.D., former Dean of the Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame and former CEO of Catholic Relief Services, and Vatican panelist on the release of Pope Francis’ Laudato Si. The retreat will be in three parts, covering chapters 1, 4, and 10 from the book “What Do You Seek” by Fr. Michael Buckley, SJ. Parishioners will be able to attend all or any part of the retreat. Cost of attendance will be $5 for students and $10 for all others. Our retreat will begin at 7:30PM on Friday night (2/23) until about 9:00PM. Dr. Woo would like the retreatants to bring an object or a story to share about lent and what lent means to them. Following the Friday evening session there will be an informal soiree. On Saturday morning (2/24) we will begin with mass at 8:00AM on Saturday followed by a simple breakfast until 9:00AM. Session II will go from about 9:00-10:00AM, followed by a brief break. At 10:30AM Session III begins and lasts until 11:30AM. The retreat will be followed by a simple lunch. Meals and breaks are included in the retreat cost, but additional donations are welcome.
