  8. Non-Presider Announcement: Hunger Hike - I’m part of a St Tom’s team working on the Hunger Hike.  We are now 2 weeks away from the Hunger Hike and we still need your support in a big way.  Funds raised for the Hunger Hike support hunger programs at Lafayette Urban Ministry, Food Finders and St Tom’s Haiti Ministry. Last year the HH raised $110,000 with St Tom’s contributing $37,000. This is the major funding source for our initiatives in our sister parish of St Francis Xavier in Baudin Haiti. These include water and Food security, Crop improvement, and Crop storage initiatives. What can you personally do:

    • Establish a fundraising site. It is not too late to ask for support from your family and friends.

    • Support a Hiker by donating to their site at hungerhike.org. Look for  TEAM ST TOMS

    • Walk in the HH Sunday September 17th

    • All the information you need can be found on hungerhike.org and in this weeks bulletin and on the St Toms website and Facebook page. Together we are helping to address hunger issues in our community.
