  1. Registration for the student-run retreat, Boiler Awakening #16, opens this Monday the 29th at noon. More information and registration details can be found at boilercatholics.org.
    Bishop Robert Barron's DVD study series - Pivotal Players- returns the next two Mondays, January 29 and February 5 with a discussion of St. Francis of Assisi. Free dinner for participants will be offered at 6:00PM, with the video and discussion in Newman Hall immediately following dinner.
  2. On Monday, January 29, our Women & Discernment Group is offering a presentation open to all men and women on The Discernment of Spirits - figuring out how we can identify God's voice in our lives. This presentation is from 8:00 9:30PM in Room 3. All are welcome!
  3. This Saturday, February 3rd, from 7:00-9:30PM, the Haiti Committee and the Men of St. Tom's (MoST) will be hosting their Annual Wine, Beer and Cheese Party. Suggested donation is $15, $5 for students.
  4. Next week is the first weekend of the Month - so, it is time to bring in food for our monthly St. Tom's Food Drive benefiting the St. John's/LUM Food Pantry.
  5. There is a second collection next weekend for the Membership in the Propagation of the Faith.
    The next Theology on Tap will be Tuesday, February 6th. Dr. Gwen Adams will speak on "The Role of Story in Moral Formation." Join us at Harry's at 7:15PM.
  6. The Third Option is for couples or married persons who wants to discover communications skills that can make their marriage better, or save their marriage from a crisis. This confidential group support meets every Monday night, from 7:00-9:00PM at Central Catholic.
  7. We will be having our Annual Italian Dinner benefiting our spring break mission trips cooked by Fr. Patrick and our missionaries on Friday, February 9th from 6:00- 8:30PM. Dinner includes pasta, roast chicken, Italian bread, salad, wine, and spumoni ice cream. Live music by Cool City Band. All tickets are sold in advance and are being sold after all Masses for the next two weeks. $15/adults & $10/students.
