  1. Preparations for this year’s Jubilee Christmas are underway! … See the Bulletin for items being collected by St. Tom’s Youth Ministry that can be dropped off at the Office by this Thursday. Also, gifts appropriate for children newborn to age 12 will be collected at all Masses next Sunday. For questions, contact Robin Vandewalle at jrvandewalle@yahoo.com
  2. Attention busy students! Take some time to pause for Advent by participating in our Busy Students Retreat. You will meet on Monday through Thursday this week with a member of staff to reflect on daily readings and learn more about prayer. Interested? Come to the conference room after 7:00 p.m. Sunday mass or email dee@boilercatholics.org.
  3. De-stress and celebrate the season by attending our third annual St. Tom’s Christmas Concert this Thursday, Dec. 5 from 7 to 8 p.m. The hour of Christmas cheer features the student members of St. Tom’s Music Ministry.
  4. Also, this week is Purdue’s Tuba Christmas in the church on Friday evening. The annual event attracts more than 80 musicians performing holiday favorites on low brass instruments. The event is open to the public, free of charge and begins at 7:30 p.m.
  5. St. Tom’s families! … Please consider serving as hospitality ministers to greet our parishioners and guests during the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Sunday Masses. The commitment is one Mass every four weeks. For more information and to volunteer, email fatherpatrick@boilercatholics.org.
  6. Finals week begins next week! … so we will have our semester ending “Blessing of the Brains” at all Masses next weekend (December 7-8). Also, please bring study snacks for the students to the front office this week.
  7. And finally, we will be having a Memorial Mass to honor Father Jim Barnett this Thursday, Dec. 5 at 5:30 p.m.
