Triumph. Joy. Betrayal. Death. Life.. The story of Easter is our story. This year join author Karen May and artist Katie Schmid on the journey through Holy Week. Become a part of the greatest story ever told and experience Easter like you never have before. Mark your calendars!
The three-day Lenten Mission titled “Walking Through Holy Week” will take place online on Monday, March 30 to Wednesday, April 1 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. each night. The mission will be led by author Karen May on Monday and Wednesday and by artist Katie Schmid (creator of the Stations of the Cross in St. Tom’s sanctuary) on Tuesday evening.
Like the theme of Karen’s book “Walking Through Holy Week,” the Lenten Mission will include a discussion into the events leading up to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as told through the Catholic Masses of Holy Week. More than just rituals to remember a significant event, these Masses provide the historical context of the Pascal sacrifice, break open the Scriptures that explain Jesus’ words and actions, and bring the faithful into the story itself.
