And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them.

But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

"Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all."

Master Schedule

Religious Education (RE) (3 yr olds - 8th grade)

These classes are taught in the classrooms in the basement of St. Toms. These classes are instructed by qualified catechists that have gone through the Diocese mandated Child Safety Conduct training.  Classes meet on Sunday morning in two seperate sessions.

Session 1: 3 yr olds - 1st Grade (Meet 9:00am - 10:00am)
Session 2: 2nd Grade - 8th Grade (Meet 10:30am - 11:30am)

Sacramental Prep

The Policy of the Lafayette Deanery states:


"Students preparing for a Sacrament must have attended a Catholic School or Parish Religious Education Program thepreceding year."

Reconciliation and First Communion (2nd Grade)

Students are prepared for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion during the 2nd Grade year. Students attend the first Reconciliation retreat in November and receive the Sacrament prior to the start of Advent. Students attend the first Communion retreat in March/April and receive First Communion during the Easter season (April/May).

Confirmation (grade 9 and above)

The confirmation class meets 10:30am to 11:45am on Sunday mornings, and prepares the students for the great sacred Sacrament of Confirmation.  A major focus is on understanding Christ’s teachings through the Gospel, Tradition, and the Cathechism.  Confirmation students are required to attend a retreat and to complete 10 hours of volunteer service.

Youth Groups

Middle School

This year we will be starting a Middle School Youth Group for students in grades 6-8.  Programming will focus on Theology of the Body for Middle School, Scripture, service, and building community with the youth through social activities.

Middle School Schedule

High School

The primary goal of the High School Youth Group will be to point students toward Christ as our source and summit through the Eucharist.  We will use a variety of programming such as Theology of the Body for Teens, Life Teen, Dead Theologians Society. Students will engaged in activities that focus on a deeper understanding of Scripture, Social Justice, and applications to their daily lives and interactions with their peers. Students will be given multiple opportunities to perform service for our local community as well as summer mission trips.
