- Turn on lights in the Community Room (Room 3). On Sunday only (or if you find it wasn't done on another day), bring enough plates, cups, and silverware for number of guests and maximum number of hosts (about 14) from the kitchen to the community room. Also on Sunday, bring a cart with a bucket for dirty dishes to the Community Room. Place-settings, cart, and bucket will be returned after dinner dishes are completed on other nights. No food or drink is to be on rug/couch area.
- NEW ITEM Feb., 2012: Use the keys to unlock the double doors by the bathrooms. From the Family Promise hallway, the door on the left has a bar. Insert the key in the keyhole. Push in the bar. Turn the key to the left until the bar locks in a pushed-in position. Remove the key, and the bar should still be pushed in and the door unlocked and able to open from the other side.
- When the guests arrive (usually by 5:00) greet them OUTSIDE IN THE PARKING LOT, and be available to take care of any needs they may have.
- Be sure to get the backpack from the van driver. It should be stored in the host room at the end of the hall, room 5.

- Assist the volunteers bringing dinner as needed.
- Keep the keys and phone on your person, and pass them to the dinner hosts.
