- The day center is now located at 2203 N. 19th Street (This is a new location)
- When families are at the Day Center we should always have 2 adults there.
- Sometimes the families plans for the weekend change and they may not be at the center. We will notify you if things change. Please be flexible!
- Families arrive after 7AM (maybe later on Saturday, we will let you know) and leave at 5PM.
- If you open, the key to the day center is in the binder in the backpack which comes in the van with the families or it is in the lockbox on the door (the code changes often and will have to be given to you closer to time). A key is also located in the binder in the backpack which comes in the van with the families.
- The families take showers, do laundry, play games, work on computer, watch TV etc. when at the center.
- You may bring a book, homework etc. as you may have quiet time.
- If you are the last one to leave the day center make sure lights are out and lock up using the lock box key or the key in the binder in the backpack.

| Breakfast Prep |

- Get keys and phone from overnight hosts
- Arrive no later than 6 am. Make nametag (first name only). Please make sure guests are awake and moving. Remind them that the van will be picking them up by 7 am SHARP. (Saturday pick up usually is at 9:00 am)
- Take a moment to read the Host Binder.
- If coffee is needed, please bring some for our guests.
- Set out breakfast food items for families. Ask families prior to setting out food, since children in school may receive breakfast at school. (Cereal, bagels, butter, cream cheese, microwave items, yogurt, juice, milk and anything else that looks like a breakfast item.)
- Families are to help put food items away and clean up the eating area. Dirty dishes should be put in a tub with hot soapy water. The dishes will be washed in the evening. (Host to complete this task)
- Remind individuals to take packed lunches.
- Make sure the backpack (with cell phone) is in the van
- Check to make sure lights are out throughout the Family Promise area and that the rooms and kitchen are locked up for the day.
- Make sure to sign your name and volunteer hours in the host book before leaving.
- Please write a note in the log book. It is important for family promise to be informed of any problems, progress, general attitude, and events that occur in the program. Please take a little time to write something before you leave.
- Place the keys in the lock box.

- Arrive at church by 5:00. Make a nametag for yourselves. Read the host binder for any special instructions.
- Get the key from the lockbox and unlock the rooms.
- Turn on lights in the living area (Room 3).
- When the guests arrive (usually around 5:10) greet them OUTSIDE IN THE PARKING LOT and be available to take care of any needs they may have.
- Be sure to get the backpack from the van driver.
- Check the binder in the backpack for any special notes from the day center.
- Assist the families bringing dinner as needed.
- Pass the key and cell phone on to the dinner folks.
- Log your hours before leaving.

- Set eating area (food served buffet style).
- Eat with the families and socialize
- Clean up eating area. (Task to be done by families)
- Wash/Dry dishes and clean up kitchen. (Task to be done by families)
- Take ALL leftovers home.
- Make sure to sign your name and volunteer hours in the host book before leaving.
- Pass the key and cell phone to the evening company.

- Please arrive by 6:45 pm. Make nametag (first name only).
- Take a moment to read the Host Binder.
- Receive keys and cell phone from dinner hosts.
- This time can be used for homework, playing games, and/or watching movies. There is no direct TV access, but movies are available. No movies above PG 13 are allowed to be shown. PG 13 movies should be approved by all families, due to some unsuitable content for younger children.
- The TV will not be turned on until all dinner chores are completed.
- Lunches (if needed) for the next day need to be made no later than 8:30 pm. Food items are located in the kitchen. The kitchen will be closed after this time. Children in school may not need a lunch, since it will be provided by the school.

- Quiet time begins at 10 pm.
- Children under 12 should be in their rooms by 9:00 pm
- Teens 10:00 pm
- All others no later than 11 pm
- Have families assist in making sure the Community Room is cleaned.
- Make sure the Family Promise area is locked for the evening, including elevator area. No one should be outside of the defined area, that includes being outside after 11 pm.
- Wake up at 5:45 am to start unlocking the Family Promise area, including the elevator.
- Give the keys and cell phone to the breakfast preparation hosts.
